This morning November was like September, the leaves thrashing off the trees, the birds swooshing like they wanted to be leaves, and I dragged my Lola B. along behind me because all she wanted to do was bark at everything.
I understand.
But that urge to shout at all of it,to bark hello to the wildness of the outside, I was glad Lola was there to shout. I hope for my sunshine intake I can manage to keep up the morning walks, and I tell you I was feeling very flushed and New England loving, looking at the white steepled congregational church get assaulted with golden leaves. I was like, "yes, this is New England, you cannot fuck with us." but it felt much more holy than that. When I left for work it was already raining, so that was another bonus of the morning walk...I heard on the radio we should expect rain all day and I got outside before this came.
The added benefit is that my dog also hates the rain, so she got outside before all that as well.
