I had forgotten how much I love Tomaz Salamun and then kristin sent me a book of his new poems, and thanks to my newly expanding free time, I had some time to sit down with it. He is magic. Kristin too is magic, and the book was part of a birthday present that arrived in may (very unexpected!) (my birthday being in january) but wonderful. I'd always wished my birthday would fall more centrally. So. I had a nice lethargic weekend which included the game balderdash on friday night, making a wild and google-eye laden hand bag on saturday night, and some good food and company on sunday. I am trying to get my act together for a last minute jaunt to london to see alexis. I have been talking about this for so long, I need to book it. And I am trying to get my mind around some self-assigned tasks and projects, otherwise my free time will de-materialize, it will be september, and again I will be gnashing my teeth at the prospect of school. Which is great, and over for the time being. Hurrah!
