Last book I finished over my lazy weekend was Tender at the Bone, by Ruth Reichl. It was really wonderful, delicious in the way that she brings all things back to recipes. She's had a very interesting life, full of summers in France and 70s communal living.

I can't seem to walk into Goodwill without walking out with 5 books, and Monday I bought some new old ones: A Heartbreaking work..., Are Men Necessary?, Good in Bed, and an anthology of the best short stories in the past century. Yesterday I went for a long walk and then was totally exhausted. I got home and laid in bed and lacking a better choice, I started Are men necessary? Which is sort of fun and effortless, if fluffy. I don't feel I'm learning anything, but I read almost half of it. Also, a story from Tony Earley's collection of short stories: Here we are in paradise. Books, there isn't enough time for them. Further, I adore the man who gave a shout-out to the world of literature at the Academy Awards. Then I read about absynthe in the new yorker, and then I read about the organization of information and how it can be shaped for the various structures of organizations (this was for my information science class) and then I fell asleep. So it was a reading day.
